To reduce air pollution and improve air quality, France has established environmental zones (ZFE, zones à faibles émissions) where the circulation of high-polluting vehicles is restricted.

The Crit’Air certificate is a sticker that classifies your vehicle into one of six categories depending on its pollutant emissions. The sticker is not mandatory on all roads, but it grants access to environmental zones or parking spaces reserved for vehicles with the sticker.

Depending on the vehicle category and government regulations, vehicles may also be allowed to drive when prefects impose access restrictions during air pollution alerts.

Every year, several new environmental zones are introduced.

To issue the environmental badge, we require the vehicle registration certificate. The badge will be sent to the purchaser by post within around 10–14 working days, allowing them to drive through France’s environmental zones.
